Oklahoma does not impose any restrictions on the length of time that insurance companies can limit coverage for pre-existing conditions. Individuals who fail to qualify for coverage due to a medical condition or who lack access to a group health plan sponsored by an employer may be eligible for the state's high-risk insurance pool. Oklahoma sets the premium cap on its health insurance pool at 125 percent. Pursuant to the state's prompt-pay law, health insurance carriers must pay claims within 60 days. Numerous online one-stop shopping services enable consumers to receive insurance quotes on a variety of products.
